IAM is an exciting month we spend out of the year providings students with 7 different amazing events within a month to promote the understanding of Islam and clear up the misconceptions.

Inventions in Islam
Student Union Atrium

Muslims throughout history have contributed to several inventions that have shaped our world today. This event will be featuring several well known inventions in Islam, such as surgical instruments, glasses and more. There will be food!
Petals from the Prophet
10/20/16
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Health and Public Affairs 1-119
We will spend the morning distributing flowers to students around campus. These flowers will have a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) attached to them with the intention of spreading a peaceful message across campus. This will be a great interactive experience with other students on campus.
Convert Stories

We will have several inspiring Muslim converts from our community tell us about their convert stories, their experiences, life stories and more. It will be a great, eye-opening experience for us all. If you’re curious about their journey to Islam or have any inquiries regarding their experiences, you’re encouraged to come!
Islam Around the World

Islam has 1.7 billion adherents, making up over 22% of the whole world’s population. Discover the diversity of all the different countries and cultures within Islam. Learn about the origination of Islam, it’s influence in the country, and the presence it has today through it’s inhabitants. & don’t forget to taste their delicious foods!
Hijab Day

We will spend the morning out on the student union patio stage giving all girls around UCF the opportunity to wear hijab for a day. Later in the day, there will be a discussion on the role of women in Islam along with the importance and purpose of hijab.

Join us for a night of muslim women empowerment! Known for her bravery, amazing achievements, and bold perseverance, Ibtihaj Muhammad is an American sabre fencer, and a member of the United States fencing team. She is best known for being the first Muslim American woman to wear a hijab while competing for the United States in the Olympics and will be our guest speaker! We are so excited for her to be coming to UCF and will be offering meet and greets for those who are MSA members only.
